Dual Stack
Configuration where a device or network supports both IPv4 and IPv6 simultaneously.
Dual Stack means that a system supports both IPv4 and IPv6 at the same time. A device usually receives both an IPv4 address and an IPv6 address, and traffic uses whichever protocol is available.
It is commonly used during the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 so older and newer networks can operate in parallel, and is often combined with NAT64 and AAAA records so IPv6 clients can still reach IPv4-only services.
